We are so excited to invite you to become a member of VMA Connect, a platform for clinical sharing, education, support, updates and tips on all things voice and laryngology-related.
VMA Connect membership is open to Speech Pathologists worldwide. (Sorry no students at this time).
There are two memberships categories: VMAConnect Basic ($70AUS/year) and VMA+ ($220.00AUS/year)

- Regular updates regarding CPD opportunities and reviews.
- Access to 3 or more clinically-focussed ‘inhouse’ webinars for free throughout the year on popular clinical topics. Débora Feijó is a Brazilian speech-language pathologist specialising in voice and professional communication, with extensive experience working with journalists, broadcasters and television presenters. She has worked closely with TV Globo’s journalism professionals, supporting vocal health, communication and the demands of intensive professional voice use. Her work includes prevention and management of vocal difficulties, with a particular focus on developing an efficient, natural and sustainable professional voice. She is also a co-author of Voz e Corpo na TV: a fonoaudiologia a serviço da comunicação.

Assoc. Prof. Evelien D’Haeseleer – Ghent, Belgium
Peri-operative Voice Care in Gender-Affirming Voice Surgery: From Preparation to Recovery
Wednesday September 16th 5pm AEST
Evelien D’haeseleer is an Associate Professor in Speech and Language Pathology at Ghent University and a specialist in voice, professional voice and gender-affirming voice care. Her clinical and research work includes voice therapy and the peri-operative care and outcomes of people undergoing gender-affirming voice surgery.

Professor Nancy Solomon – Laryngeal aerodynamics and phonation mechanics

Dr. Nancy Pearl Solomon is a research speech-language pathologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland. She holds a PhD from the University of Arizona, with clinical and post-doctoral training at SUNY Upstate and the University of Iowa’s National Center for Voice and Speech, and her research spans fatigue, dysarthria, and dysphagia in speech-language pathology, along with voice disorders.

Dr Ciarán Kenny – Dublin, Ireland
Ultrasound Imaging of the Voice: New Perspectives for Clinical Assessment
Now planned for early October – TBC
Ciarán Kenny is an Assistant Professor in Speech and Language Pathology at Trinity College Dublin and a speech-language therapist specialising in voice and swallowing. His research focuses on clinical assessment and instrumental approaches to voice, including ultrasound, acoustic analysis and videostroboscopy.
