Nadia is a speech pathologist with a special interest in voice. She completed her speech pathology training at the Australian Catholic University and commenced her speech pathology career working at St Vincent’s Hospital prior to sub-specialising in voice and upper airway conditions.

Nadia is also a highly experienced music therapist with over 20 years’ experience in public health care working across cancer care, mental health, stroke, neurological conditions, rehabilitation and long COVID. Nadia has a particular interest in communication disorders resulting from stroke and neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, and she uses the therapeutic benefits of singing and breath work when working with these patients to improve their function and quality of life.

Nadia currently holds a senior clinical music therapy role at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Nadia brings a strong person-centred and compassionate approach to her therapy. She recognises that voicing is influenced by physiological, emotional and psychological influences and therefore often requires a holistic approach to management and recovery. She has a particular interest in breathing disorders and their impact on voicing and quality of life. Nadia is a dedicated lifelong learner, with university qualifications spanning psychology, commerce, music therapy and speech pathology. In addition to her health-based professional roles, Nadia has worked internationally in employment relations. Nadia draws on all her different areas of knowledge and experience when working with clients to enable her to understand each client’s unique needs and experience of voicing and to help them maximise their voice goals.

We are thrilled to have such a unique, multi-skilled speech pathologist as part of our team!
