MADDY IS CURRENTLY ON LEAVE
Maddy is a Speech Pathologist and Singer who holds a Masters of Speech and Language Pathology from The University of Sydney and a Masters of Music Studies (Voice) from The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Madeleine’s lifelong love of singing and fascination with the human voice lead her down the path of wanting to help people overcome their voice difficulties.
Maddy has spent much of her life performing both jazz and musical theatre from a young age. She became a speech pathologist in 2016 and has since worked in private practice, gaining a broad experience working with people across the lifespan with a variety of voice and upper airway disorders. She has a special interest in working with professional voice users including singers, actors, presenters and teachers, and helping people return to the workplace who are set back by a vocal injury. She most recently was part of the multidisciplinary team at The Voice Connection in Sydney, running voice clinics together with her ENT and psychologist colleagues. Maddy also has previous experience working in aged care settings, supporting people and their families with swallowing and communication difficulties. Maddy has a caring approach to providing therapy and is passionate about seeing the person as a whole.
When not seeing patients Maddy enjoys writing music and strives to one day record an album of original tunes (as soon as she gets out of the baby/toddler bubble!) Maddy is currently on parental leave but looks forward to being back on deck soon.
